Maegan, a Southern-born New Yorker who established her roots in the city during her early 20s, currently resides in Queens but maintains a strong connection to the Brooklyn community. Maegan looks forward to establishing meaningful connections with Starrett City as part of The Opp Hub team. Before joining the Opportunity Hub, Maegan built a solid career in Child Welfare, initially as a Foster Care Case Planner, supporting families and children, and later as a Life Coach for Foster Youth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Political Science and American Studies, along with double minors in U.S. National Security, and Human Rights and Conflict Resolution from Christopher Newport University. Recently, she achieved her Master's in Social Work from Hunter-Silberman. Leveraging her diverse background, Maegan brings a wealth of experience in building collaborative partnerships, social services, and community development. Her passion for Career and Workforce Development is rooted in her unwavering commitment to empower those who often lack the knowledge and resources to reach their highest potential and lead fulfilling lives. When she is not at The Opp Hub, you can likely find Maegan searching the city for the perfect taco. Her current top pick is La Chula in East Harlem.
